Oysters A La Toulonaise

Recipe:

Ingredients:
- 1 dozen fresh oysters, shucked
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup white wine
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. In a medium-sized skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.

3. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until translucent and fragrant, about 5 minutes.

4. Pour in the white wine and bring to a simmer. Let it cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the alcohol to evaporate.

5. Add the chopped parsley, lemon juice, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Stir well to combine all the flavors.

6. Remove the skillet from the heat and let the mixture cool slightly.

7. In a separate bowl, mix the bread crumbs with the cooled butter mixture. It should form a loose paste.

8. Take each shucked oyster and place a spoonful of the bread crumb mixture on top, covering the surface of each oyster.

9. Arrange the bread-crumb-topped oysters in a baking dish or ovenproof skillet.

10. Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until the bread crumbs are golden brown and crispy.

11. Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.

12. Serve the Oysters A La Toulonaise with lemon wedges on the side for added tanginess.
