4. Heat sweet drippings in a pan and fry the meat mixture until golden brown on all sides. Alternatively, form the mixture into small cone shapes, dip in beaten egg, coat with fine bread crumbs, and fry in deep fat for a crispy exterior.
5. For the appetizing sandwiches, run cold pieces of fried ham through a food chopper and spread it on thinly-sliced, buttered bread.
